Subaio selected to join Mastercard's Start Path program

Mastercard Start Path has selected Subaio as one of the participants in its exclusive program, A golden opportunity to bring the Danish company’s subscription management service to even more bank customers.

Mastercard’s award-winning startup engagement program Start Path has just announced its latest cohort – and Subaio is among the program’s participants. The Danish fintech is one of 35 companies in 2020 that have been accepted into the program from more than 1,500 applications. The program  provides participants with curated access to Mastercard’s global ecosystem of partners and channels and a gateway to operational support, technology expertise and opportunity to secure strategic investment.

We are very proud to be selected for Start Path. It’s a huge opportunity to work together with Mastercard, and it also validates the potential within the subscription management service,”  says Subaio’s CEO, Thomas Laursen.

In today’s world we’ve seen an accelerated shift to digital – the bedrock of fintech – and evolving consumer habits which have created an immediate need for new solutions,” said Amy Neale, Senior Vice President, Start Path & Fintech at Mastercard. “Mastercard has selected Subaio to join its Start Path ecosystem of innovators and will provide them with the tools, resources and mentorship they need for success on their scaling journey.

Subaio was inducted into the Start Path program with its subscription management service that gives bank customers control of their subscriptions. Subaio’s service gives these customers an overview of all their recurring payments, cancels unwanted subscriptions on the customer’s behalf and notifies them about any changes to these payments in a full white label integration taking place directly from the user’s existing online bank.

Subaio’s already partnering with eight banks across Europe and has crunched more than five billion transactions. This has a huge impact on their customers, as the data shows the average user has eight different subscriptions, and that users are saving 213 euro every time they use Subaio’s solution to cancel a subscription.

The six-month program will end in the Spring. During this period Subaio and Mastercard will look into numerous ways where the two companies can work together.
